I have been a customer for many other rental companies and
this Avis at Rotorua Airport would be a worst rental service in NZ.
Staffs there, speak very impolitely and are puffed up with arrogance.
No email confirmation was given before and after rental.
exact cost was not given as they just hold the average amount of payments to my credit and after returning the vehicle, they charged me final cost again. This made me really confusing as others normally hold my credit as a deposit.
Rang to staff and asked what's going on but they don't cared about the amount they hold on my credit.
What I heard from this cold lady at Avis was "It's your thing to ring your bank to clear that holding amount".
It seems they don't care about the customers once they've got paid.
Absolutely no place to recommended to others specially from other area.
*ps: If you (Staffs at Avis) have read this review, please keep it mind that without customers (no matter where they came from) there will be no place for you and don't forget to make an apology for your mistake.
You made a booked my rental with wrong drop-off place so I had to came back for renewal the booking but no one apologized for this to me as I expected.

Avis and budget are the same counter fyi. If only one person is working it can take a bit to get your rental. Staff was nice however.
