WARNING, the price you pay on car rental sites is NOT the total price, these guys will charge you an additional $50 "Airport tax" when you turn up, making their rental prices a LOT more than others.
Obviously the price they supply to the rental web sites could easily include this fee, but they choose to be deceptive.
They must be creaming it from the poor tourists.

I've recommended Thrifty Car Rental Rotorua to the parents of children we offer childcare to and we've had nothing but positive feedback from them. Great to hear that they're living up to their reputation.

I am always on the go with work. Sometimes I forget simple stuff like toothpaste or socks but when I need a car because I forgot to book or I have to be somewhere in a hurry Thrifty Car Rental Rotorua comes through for me no matter what the request. Its almost like I have my own Thrifty Personal Assistants. Even when it is a last minute request they try their hardest to find me a car despite the hectic times they have supplying all their other customers. Definitely my number 1 go to for rentals. Always smiling at me even though I know I cause them to stress. I would usually use my kumara rating out of 4. but definitely 5 stars for service, professionalism and handling of difficult customers like me. Thanks Rotorua for your ongoing support.

Picked up a Rotorua Airport rental car from Thrifty and wasn't disappointed. Very friendly staff and surprisingly good prices. All in all, was a very pleasant experience.
