Outdoor seating at this seafront cafe is absolutely paradise. The perfect place to stop for a snack and a drink after taking the ferry over from Paihia. People travel to Thailand for backdrops like these. For me, this is the jewel in Russell's crown.

Suburb place with one of the best views in the country. Staff are amazing and the food was amazing. I will definitely visit again if im ever in the area.

There must be something wrong with the chef. We ordered an omelette and poached eggs on toast. It took forever for the food to come. There were hardly anyone there and I had to ask the waitress to check on the food. Our coffees had gotten cold while waiting. When the food came, there was only 1 poached egg and the waitress said the other fell off. She brought the other one a couple of minutes later on a little saucer. The ciabatta toast was tiny and I didn't even get butter with the toast. I can make a better breakfast at home why even bother with these scammers and pay 10% public holiday surcharge. What a ripoff. I'd love to see Gordon Ramsay come and give them a beating.

We ordered pancakes, iced coffee and hot chocolate. Didn't think it was that difficult because we were the only people there but they didn't have pancakes so we had to order French toast instead. But when the iced coffee arrived it tasted horrible and undrinkable, we waited for about 20 minutes and nothing else arrived. Finally the French toast came but they still hadn't made the hot chocolate and the barista seemed too interested in making her own drinks for herself instead. Food was cold, no apology. Worst. Service. Ever.

Can't complain! Coffee was hot and good, breakfasts were large and delicious. The location is right on the main stretch which looks out over the Russell harbour. Lovely!
