Good mid quality hotel. Three and a half stars really. Rooms are clean and quite well appointed - ours had two hotplates and a good sized fridge. It's starting to look a little tired, especially the bathroom. Good location for the government end of town. There is a lot of traffic noise (we were on level 7). Portlander restaurant is very good and does meat well, and the breakfast was excellent value at $20 for the cooked Big Breakfast.

Staff went beyond their call of duty to help us during our stay.. Nice quiet rooms with comfy beds. Breakfast buffet is best we have had in NZ.

Amazing place and very friendly staff. Just a walk down stairs to a beautiful selection of nice restaurants and bars. Very nice luxurious rooms. Very delicious buffet for breakfast. Would recommend. ✌

Really upscale place but staff are balanced in their approach to service.
I had a fantastic martini; their spirits collection is a real treat.
Fair prices for such a nice place in Wellington.
