While a hot 15+ minute walk to the square it is a good value and a very nice small hotel. I was not expecting this place to actually look like the photos, but it did. The "room" was fine but what surprised us was it had a kitchen, dining area and living room.
The staff was amazing, very attentive and eager to please.
Breakfast was limited but delicious. Security was terrific but by the looks of the neighborhood was safe and probably more for our peace of mind. We always felt safe on the street. Pool actually has a deep end and while it is relatively small it was pleasant.
If you need internet, the code will log you into the strongest signal so keep it handy.
The ONLY complaint, the hot water. You have to turn on a lot of breakers so that night I thought it just had not warmed up yet. In the morning, I took a very cool shower. That afternoon I discovered the Hot was on the right not left handle. Hahaha. But it still was barely warm.
Overall for what you usually get in an Central American Hotel the experience and room was terrific.
We will back to Granada, it is a beautiful city and there is enough to do for days. We will stay at the Xalteva again. :-)

Small boutique hotel. Great service. Friendly staff. They bend over backwards for you. They arranged a pinata for my daughter's birthday. On the outskirts of town just far enough away for to be quiet but close enough to walk to everything. Melissa in management is a gem

Me and my GF had a really nice stay at this hotel in February 2017. They do offer airport pick up which worked very well for us. They got a security guy during the night and serve breakfast in the morning. The pool is nice and always in the sun.
