This hostel is right across the street from the beach.. enjoy amazing sunsets! Great breakfast included with your stay. Pretty garden sitting area. I was in the dorm...it was a bit hot at night with only a couple of fans but had an ensuite bathroom with an amazing shower. The wifi was also good!

quite and peaceful place, facing the beach, cheap . . . for sure is not the best place In San Juan, but give you the best mix of price for money.

This place has a nice chilled out courtyard, the staff seem friendly and breakfast is included, but our dorm and bathroom was pretty dirty and disgusting. If you can, ask for a bottom bunk as these are bigger than the top, and seem to have a fan whereas the top bunks are smaller and the ceiling fan seemed quite useless. The location is good as it is next to the beach, but in San Juan del Sur, even if you're staying a few streets in from the beach it is still very close, so I wouldn't stay here again just for the location. We ended up moving to a different hostel because of the cleanliness. Esperanza is cheap, but we felt that by paying a couple of dollars more somewhere else was more than worth it for the increase in cleanliness. Also when we came to pay they tried to overcharge us, I'm sure it was probably an honest mistake and when I queried it everything was fine, but just make sure you check your bill.
