In the summer it's usually crowded. Interesting the autumn and winter it's calm and I recommend to take som jackets on an go here fore a picnic

Amazing place in the city center. :) A lot of activities for any age. Not too much space,but there are beach loungers integrated,a jumping tower for the brave one's , "a pool", a lot of caffes around and lifeguards watching your back. So grab your towel,a blanket and relax sunbathing ;)

It's a beautiful location and awesome to take a swim in he height of summer. But it is really overly crowded. Like way too crowded. If you go in the week when people are at work it is better. There's also an activity area where we've had fun watching Norwegian water polo championship.

This is my favorite place to swim. You can jump or gently descend into the water nearly everywhere at this beach area. There's sand and a kids area that isn't too deep, there's a ramp for wheelchairs to get into the water and an own square of water (though that water has long since become colored by algae). There's large areas of wooden platforms and stairs where you can sunbathe and get into the water from.
A short walking distance from the swimming areas there's several cafés and restaurants with excellent food that will fit anyone's taste buds.
Generally this is a great place to go in summertime if you want to enjoy the sun and the sea with good food and good friends, all the restaurants have outdoor seating until 11pm. Bring your own food and drink and you can stay near the water all day!

I love it here in the summer. It is always crowded, but you usually find yourself a spot. When it is a nice day you have to make sure to get out there early.
You have sun here the whole day as long as the sky is cleared. There are public toilets there and super market not far away if you need food. It is not allowed to set up a grill.
There is a great ice cream shop there called Paradis 😍 would recommend to buy their ice cream.
