Great spot. Highly recommend. Easy but costly parking. A bit away from the tourist centre but walkable. Use car and parking in Centre easy.

Mattress had deep "valleys", too many pillows they are mostly far too soft (have to throw most on the floor in order to get into bed), desk chair is hard plastic and too uncomfortable to do work on in the evenings (think garden furniture), blanket not large enough to cover all of the bed (seems to be one for torso and another very heavy one for feet), towels provided seem very small (would prefer a shower gown or large towel), restaurant seemed to busy to bother acknowledging someone was waiting to be seated. Rooms dimly lit, even after turning every light on.
WiFi was very good and staff very friendly and even cheerful.
Not awful, but there's enough I didn't like to try somewhere else next time.

We stayed three nights at the Clarion in June 2017. We stayed two nights at the beginning of our trip, and one night ten days later at the end of our trip. Both of our rooms were very nice. The staff was warm, friendly, and very helpful. They answered all of our questions, gave great directions to places we needed to go, and treated us like friends. The breakfast is fantastic, with a wide variety of foods. The restaurant on the 9th floor, the Astrum, is one of the best restaurants we've ever eaten at. The chef is very talented, the staff is warm and conscientious, making the whole experience very memorable. The view of the ocean and the city from the restaurant and the hotel rooms is beautiful. The interior design of the hotel is interesting and compelling enough that I took a lot of pictures. It's clean and contemporary, but it still looks like nature. It makes me think of icebergs and golden Viking ships. We loved Norway enough that we want to come back again and again, and we plan to stay at this hotel when we do.
