It is a green hill spot which attracts a large number of people for picnics, museums, folk heritage complex, restaurants and theatre. Driving through scenic road is soothing to eyes and mind, though the road is not wide and mostly bumpy. It's a good and quick get away from urban mayhem and traffic.

Shakar Parian park is situated near the Sports Complex and Express Highway. Newly built monument is also a part of this park. It is located on a height, where a full view of beautiful Islamabad can be easily seen.

A pleasant place to visit with a birds eye view of Islamabad.
Some good restaurants also available, in different price range to accommodate all type of visitors.
A part is dedicated to the tree plants planted by different dignitaries along with information plates.
However if one wants to visit in peace, better visit on working days as on holidays it is full of public and finding a parking may be difficult.

Best place to visit. It reminds memories of our Heroes and main places of Pakistan. This place shows aesthetic beauty of Islamabad.

One of the oldest and most popular picnic spots around! Remember going there over 30 years ago! Good for strolls and family outings.
