I just got home from "A Trip of a Lifetime" that was arranged through SATO Travels! Top on my bucket list was Machu Picchu and after a friend recommended Seppe Bleukx at SATO Travel all arrangements were flawlessly put together. Seppe put together a 9 day trip that covered Lima, Cusco, Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. He listened to all my requests, answered all my questions, and prepared an itinerary that lived up to all my expectation, graciously and timely.
Every moment of our trip was orchestrated to meet our every need, from airport pick ups, tour guides, drivers, train tickets, bus transfers, airline tickets, and the most luxurious hotels I could ever imagine.
Everyone on their team went above and beyond the call of duty from Juan in the Lima office and Boris in the Cusco office to make sure our trip was special and all details came off without a glitch.
All of our tour guides were exceptional! Henry who led us through Cusco and the Sacred Valley was so knowledgeable, a local with a degree in tourism, he passionately filled us in on all the historical, spiritual, and cultural significance of all of the sites we visited. Paul, another local guide at Machu Picchu also shared the same passion and knowledge, along with gracious care in our experience of the citadel.
I cannot recommend SATO Travel enough! If this trip is on your list of must sees, then Seppe at SATO travel should be on your must contact list! Don't wait, just do it!

My 4D/3N Inca Trail experience was incredible due to great porters, trip leaders, accommodations. Highly recommended and prepared company.

We booked our 10 day honeymoon to Peru (Huacachina, Nazca Lines, Cuzco, Sacred Valley, Machhu Puchhu, Titicaca) with SATO travels in November 2015. Although the price of the entire was somewhat higher than some other quotes that we had received with three-star hotel accommodations, we were impressed by the prompt and personal treatment that we received throughout the initial conversations, Visa process and the trip. At the end of the trip we have a very positive impression of SATO as a travel agent.
We had mostly interacted with Seppe Bleukx, who is one of the “customer-service manager” for the SATO organization. He managed all our travel plans, suggesting us the various places we can visit, and the prices involved. We had VISA issues with the Peruvian consulate, and he was instrumental in cutting us exceptions by allowing us to delay the payment until we receive our VISA. Of course, such exceptions were made possible by off-season travel, but nevertheless, we liked the gesture. He made himself available on phone or mobile during times of critical needs during the trip, even at odd hours. A couple of times we needed his immediate intervention, once for a hotel room change at Puno, and the other time when we could not locate our guide in Machhu Pichhu, and he quickly made phone-calls and solved the issues.
We were impressed by the punctuality of the transfer and services. Every time (except once), the transfers and events proceeded like clock-work and as described. The transfer personnel were friendly, and the guides were local people with formal training as tour-guides - generally very knowledgeable and fluent in English. The hotels booked by them were good - especially recommended are H. Las Dunas (Ica), H. Midori (Cuzco) and H. El Mapi (Aguas Calliantes) which they booked for us.
While, overall, we had a pretty good trip, there were a few issues that could be better. First, the Nazca Lines flight in their brochure was advertised as at least 1 hour. But when we went to the Nazca airport we were dismayed to know that it will end in not more than ½ hour. They should correct that in their brochure. In Lima, I needed internet to urgently take care of some office work, but the hotel in Lima (H. Allpa) had a dysfunctional internet despite promising Wi-Fi. In the end, I had to find an internet café to get the work done. While the hotel personnel were courteous in most hotels, it was not so in H. Pakaritampu at Ollytantambo. Our train (Vistadome from Machhu Pichhu) was late because of engine troubles. At the train station we found nobody from the hotel to greet us as promised. We could not contact SATO as there was no phone signal, leaving us to go to the hotel ourselves (we got misguided a bit as nobody knew English but thankfully the hotel was close). To make matters worse the lady in front desk was arrogant telling us that ‘It is not our fault that the train was late and you were not at the station at the right time’. Finally, we were saddened to have missed Arequipa/Cocla canyon even though we came so close to it (only 3-4 hours away from Puno). We believe that SATO could have suggested us adding that to the itinerary with another additional day which we could have afforded.
Overall, we had wonderful weather a pretty lovely trip where our tight itinerary flowed smoothly without any major issues. We recommend them for showing travelers the fascinating landscapes, rich history and gourmet cuisines in Peru.

I almost never write reviews, but my SATO trip was so wonderful, I want to make sure others who are looking up a tour company have plenty of feedback about this company.
Our trip organized by SATO was PERFECT. I've been fortunate enough to travel with many other companies, and so far none has come close to SATO! Our experience was wonderful from the first email I sent to SATO until the very end of our trip. Fraser Innes was extremely helpful, completely customizing our tour for us, as well as giving us suggestions and recommendations (we originally requested the Machu Pichhu and Amazon Rainforest but later added Nazca and a few other sites). Even before we left for our trip, I knew I was in good hands given the professional and detailed itinerary Seppe Bleukx sent to us (it detailed every hotel, tour, transfer including locations, times, and even a name/phone number of a local contact for each just in case anything were to go wrong - nothing ever did, and this was in addition to 24/7 emergency numbers SATO provided!).
Once I was on the trip, I was blown away by how meticulous SATO was at providing us the best possible experience. Throughout all of our transfers, I never waited once! Each time we would get off a flight, a bus, or leave a hotel – someone was already there waiting to pick us up. Moreover, for most of the flights and transfers, our SATO representative would actually help us all the way through check in and up to security. To be perfectly honest, the tours SATO provided were well above the service I expected before I left (as I said before, I’ve toured with many other companies, and never experienced anywhere near this type of service). A good portion of our tours were completely private with just myself, my wife and the guide; and even the ones that weren’t were always very small groups (largest was six including myself and my wife). It felt as though even the small local tour operators provided us better service as soon as they knew we were with SATO, sometimes separating us from the other tourists from other agencies. Finally, all of our hotels were wonderful. In a few of them, we were even given the suite.
There is no question that we will tour with SATO again. Peru was originally the only South American country left on my must-travel-to list, but now I am researching many other locations just to have a reason to travel with SATO again. I’ve already recommended SATO to many of my friends, and will continue to do so in the future.
Thank you for a wonderful trip,
James and Dima Poe

I just returned from Peru and would highly recommend SATO to assist with your travel needs. They handle everything! My rides were always on time and drivers were very helpful. The guides were all outstanding. The hotels were in great locations and the staff were always friendly. The SATO staff arranged my trip without forgetting any minor details which left me worry free to enjoy my vacation. I would highly recommend using them if you are going to South America.
