We stayed only one night even if we booked three nights in advance. We didn't feel comfortable at all. Our double room didn't have any sunlight, the toilet flush and the shower didn't work properly. Hostel was very noisy, people started at 5am running up and down the stairs because they left early for hiking. The common area was dark and only open until 10pm, after that you get asked to leave to your room. The atmosphere in this hostel wasn't nice at all. At least the hostel owner understood our complaints and made us only pay for two nights instead of three, even if we left after the first night. Wifi was unstable and slow, maybe because too many people used it. Kitchen is poor, old pans and pots and too dark in general. Breakfast seemed to be good though. You can definitely get better hostels for the same price in Huaraz.

I booked the 8 days huaywash trek with them and it was really amazing, everything is very organized, and it was definitely worth the price. The good expirience started with them picking us up at the hostel on time, and then having everything planned out perfectly. Every day started with a great breakfast, eggs, pancakes or French toast, then we got a snack for the day, lunch was a hot meal as well and always tasty. And then when we got to camp all the tents were ready for us and tea and snack were waiting in the eating tent. Popcorn or wantans, it was always a delight to get to camp in the evening. Also had fun just chatting and hanging out with our guide, chef or 2 donkey arrieros. Our guide Marcos was very attentive and knowlagable. Ivan from the agency was also very helpful with making sure we will have everything we need on the hike. I would definitely reccomend going on a hike with them in the beautiful nature surrounding huaraz, you won't regret it.

Great hostel to chill
They have hot water though the shower is pretty small and the 3 beds dorms pretty small too.
They have nice breakfast and kitchen you can use

Ivan and the staff at Andes Camp have taken great care of us during our month long stay in Huaraz! The hostel is clean, comfortable, and the price is great whether you stay in the dorms or opt for a private room. It's reasonably quite at night and the included breakfast is excellent. Ivan has been very helpful by providing information on the mountains in the area, arranging affordable and reliable transportation, and he takes care of our extra gear while we're gone on climbing trips for no extra charge. We're already planning next year's trip to the area and will definitely be staying at Andes Camp again!
