The bathtub doesn't have stopper so you can't use it. Also, the room I stayed has a bathroom ehich I don't know if it is clogged because there's flood every time I take a shower.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Filipiniana Hotel. I really enjoyed the 2 nights we spent there. The rooms were clean, but could use some updating. The beds comfortable. The bathroom needs help though, at least in our room.
The valve that mixes hot and cold water in the tub needs to be changed or fixed. I found it hard to get the temperature right, but I'm not too fussy, I just think this is something they should be aware of and they should change.
I really liked the layout of the hotel. How the lobby flows through to the pool area and the restaurant/bar is immediately off the pool deck. The grounds inside are nice and the child's pool off the main pool is a bonus. They also have a karaoke lounge available just off the restaurant. We had a great time in there on our second night there.
I wasn't happy the sauna and hot tub were not available. I was told they were under renovation. They need to take it off their website because that was one of the reasons I chose the place.
The food in the restaurant was good. Not over the top, but good value and the portions were large. We ordered dinner for 4 people and it was far too much food. I think you could have easily fed 6 adults with that dinner and still had leftovers. The breakfasts were good as well. Nice they are included in the rate.
The staff is what really makes this place though. Everyone I met took the time to smile and say hi. The serving staff was friendly, attentive and prompt with our orders.
I"d like to come and stay again. It's a great location too and they give you a free shuttle to and from Batangas Pier.

Must have been a fancy place 20 years ago, problem is it hasn't been modernized since then. Breakfast included in the room was average, but one way cups for the coffee are a no-go. Got a proper cup upon request though. OK for a night before leaving or after arriving with the ferry.

Good thing that the airconditioning in the place is really cold, the free breakfast was fair, and the beds are comfy otherwise, I would rate this a 1-star.
The place really smells old and the elevator being cramped doesn't help. The door to the hotel feels like it would just suddenly drop on you at any time.
The service during breakfast was slow and they get the orders mixed up. The shower didn't really want to either be at the temperature I'd want since it was just extremely hot or cold. The TV didn't work and the water heater was broken.
Other than that, the front desk people were polite and eager to help.

The place is old classic but very modern. It was like a time travel way back the Spanish times due to the design of the hotel. The staffs are very friendly and accomodating. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Pool, bar and karaoke lounge are available. They have so many offers in their menu but unfortunately, when the time we check in, almost half of the menu are not available. But the overall the service was fast and the food was great. Regarding the price its affordable compare to others hotels.
I like the strategic location of the hotel, it is very near the shopping mall and shops. You dont have to drive or commute if you have something to buy or eat.
