The food was terrible. And overpriced. If it were delicious and overpriced I could be forgiving. And if it were cheap and terrible I can accept it. But when I have to eat beef like fish (ie. take small bites to be careful about bones, and picking bones out of my mouth literally every bite--they SHATTERED most of the bones that the meat was attached to), and when the "crispy beef ribs" are so dried out that they don't taste like beef at all, it is hard to accept it with a smile. Oh, and they forgot to bring our drinks (and there was no opportunity to remind our server because she was always nowhere to be found), even though they remembered to charge us for them. Of course they were willing to work it out and we didn't end up paying for them, but shouldn't somebody have noticed that before they brought the bill to us?

On the other hand, if we would have just gone there for beer, it probably would have been okay as the beer prices were completely acceptable (at 40p/bottle it was even cheaper than their soda), and they wouldn't have had much opportunity to mess it up.

Overall, it was a terrible experience--probably my worst dining experience to date in the Philippines. I'll never go back. If you do find yourself in the area, I would recommend some of the restaurants on Tomas Morato Ave, just a few blocks away, where you can expect MUCH better food at relatively similar prices.
