Founded by American missionaries and named after Matilda L Bradford, the church building, as well as the congregation before it, became one of the major Christian mission hubs in the Visayas. It was and still is a testimony of how God can turn tragedy into triumph.
The church building was built to replace a place of gathering that was destroyed by fire. it was later spared bombardment during World War 2.
The chapel was declared a National Heritage Site in 2013, during its centennial anniversary. It now hosts regular worship services and various activities of United Church of Christ in the Philippines (UCCP) Bradford.
I married the love of my life in this church.
