Good hotel with Clean rooms and friendly staff

Overall I was satisfied with the service, the room was very nice, the breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the staff was very helpful; I had only one problem: on Thursday night I asked the receptionist for a taxi at 7:30 in the morning (Friday) but she probably forgot it so the taxi was not there in time. But the receptionist on Friday morning did her best to help me.
I had a good time at the hotel.

Personal opinion that does not reflect that of any related clients/organizations: Super unprofessional and incompetent staff, especially certain receptionists and managers. Most staff were unfriendly and almost all of them looked super pissed. The hotel as a whole is a disgrace to the service industry as they clearly do not know what service means. VERY UNCOOPERATIVE on all levels (contracts, room reservations, payments, breakfast/food "service", conference room setup, etc.). May ask you do to their jobs for them (reserve and assign rooms for your own attendees and collect payment from them for the hotel) for a conference group.
Staff does not regularly answer phone calls or call back as they say they will. Phone number was even "out of service" for a bit. Be prepared to wait weeks to hear back regarding any questions/inquiries/reservations.
Staff was very rude and mean to clients (even yelling and talking back) and unhelpful with problems (e.g. key cards not working, running out of food during breakfast, etc.).
Hotel operates (especially reservation "system") like it's still the 19th century.
Normal parking fee is highway robbery.
17zł per person (including tax) for a prepared coffee/tea break is a joke. Will charge your group to serve hot water because it's "so much work for their employees" (5* service! Not...). Outside water/food not allowed in hotel.
Staff has internal communication problems (terms that were agreed to with director were not communicated to managers, and then the director reneged on the original agreement).
After spending weeks/months "negotiating" a contract with them, the staff was still confused about the terms and almost didn't let us use a room that was part of the contract.
The only thing they care about is the bottom line and getting as much money from you as possible--will charge for every tiny little thing they can think of (they almost tried to charge a "parking fee" for rented coach buses to pick people up from the hotel entrance).
"Spa & massage" services located in basement look sketchy as all get out.
Hotel is super dark everywhere (trying to be "eco-friendly" or most likely just super cheap).
Each floor smells super perfumey as if they're trying to cover up some decade-old stench and decay.
Hotel does not provide any maps/informational brochures of the area/Krakow.
Hotel was dead empty (and no wonder/surprise), don't know how they're still in business (the fact that this hotel was one of the only hotels still available during peak conference season in Krakow should've been a red flag).
Negative reviews that were made by other clients were censored and had to be edited because hotel personnel called and complained (though if they really cared what people/customers thought, maybe they should just do their jobs properly to begin with? Or maybe that's too much to expect/ask from a 5* hotel).
+ They helped us print some papers (but wouldn't be too surprised if they managed to add the expense to the bill).
+ They let us use the mini stapler at the reception desk (which then ran out of staples and apparently there were no more in the entire hotel--👌).
+ They let us use some tables, chairs, tablecloths, plates, small wicker baskets, wine glass, glass cup, coffee cup during the conference.
+ They let us put up signs around the hotel to help direct people during conference.
+ Stairs/elevators work (staff does not)
+ ATM machine inside lobby
+ Bathrooms in lobby work (even though they look like they're from the Communist era)
+ And, as everyone else has mentioned, there's a garden in the back (which is apparently worth 5* on its own based on previous reviews??)

Nice place, not so expansive. Close the highway. Very nice staff. Thank you for a nice weekend.

This is not 5 star hotel. Breakfast like in hostel. Service rly poor. Avoid it.
I ordered breakfast box instead of breakfast, it was a joke to get 2 micro sandwiches and apple.
