Being married to a polish lady I've eaten in many different restaurants around Poland. On our visit to Kraków I found many restaurants expensive and geared toward the tourist. Then we stumbled across this little gem ! Paris cafe feel light music and relaxing decor! Locals eating there...which is normally a good sign ! And It was! All the traditional polish tastes but with a modern contempory twist ! Good wine selection too! I had the slow cooked bacon served on a bed of horseradish mash! Heaven !!! Really can't big this place up enough!!

The first disappointment was that almost half the menu were sold out, and only one of 5 desserts was available by 8pm. The second one was the fact there was no tap water on the offer, only bottled water that cost 12 zlotys. The next one came when the waitress brought me my starter and the main at the same time, which is quite surprising considering this restaurant being located in one of the busiest food areas in town. And given the experience so far it was almost natural to find that my main dish salmon linguine obviously had been sitting in the oven since it was brought to me with the starter, rather than prepared fresh again. All in all, not a great experience, the food was mediocre, the pasta tasted very homemadey, and the waitress would definitely benefit from proper training!
