We booked an all-inclusive holiday including a car. When we arrived at Europcar at Faro airport to pick up the car, the man tried to sell us an insurance to cover the charge if you should have an accident, it was about 65€. I already took one out online for 26€. Then he tried to sell us breakdown cover for another 48€ but I told him I was with the AA and had european breakdown cover. Through gritted teeth he then tried to upgrade us to an Audi A3 for an extra 10€ per day. Hey bloke was only doing his job! NO Thankyou. Car was nice and clean, took only 26€ petrol for 300km. No problem returning the car.

If you rent a car from Keddy (one of their child companies) or a lower class car there is much chance that the car will not be present on the airport, but on a parking 2 km. away. They will charge you 30 EUR to deliver the car or 10 EUR for a shuttle to their parking. Although I booked the car way in advance it was not available and I was offered a smaller ride on the same price, which I didn't accept. At the end after negotiation I got similar class vehicle, but in total I've spend nearly two hours arguing with the staff, getting the shuttle from the airport and finally to find I'll get way smaller ride. I would totally avoid using their services.

We came here after not such a pleasant experience at Sixt rental car.
The clerk was very helpful, pleasant, and they had a car we were looking for at a reasonable price.
The clerk told us about the tolls and how the car worked, that we'd be billed afterwards, etc.
They also offered, at an additional price, a wifi hotspot which was great and very helpful (using your phone for navigation for example).
The process was smooth and easy.

These guys are a bunch of fraudsters. They told us they would charge 10.20euros for insurance for the whole trip and instead charged us 10.20 per day. They also added on 79.20 to the bill which they only refunded once I wrote to them. Please save yourself a lot of headaches and go elsewhere.

We were there for a 3 days weekend. Everything was ok except they added extra euros after our departure referring to the tolls, when we had already paid the tolls in advance.
This is the bad side when you trust these companies who saves our credit card details and do what they want in our absence. Becareful while you reserve next time.
