Comfortable big rooms (although not very modern) with great view on the ocean. Quite far from Funchal center but hotel bus takes guests to the center and back for free. The staff is very polite and helpful.
I had a room in the secondary building (not the one with the restaurant and main reception) and the bar and the swimming pool there were less crowded.
Food was the worst thing for me. Except of bread and desserts it was not tasty and the products were of low quality (cheapest juice, sausages, meat etc.).
Overall the hotel is good and I would gladly stay there again.
