The service is outstanding. The rooms decor is taken out of a era in time which justify and compliment the hotel. It was a pleasure to experience and well worth a visit.

Not really 5 star. Rooms outdated and a little dirty. Staff was good however. Wifi is pathetic. Stay was pleasant enough, but I get the impression this place relies on its excellent location to get people through the door at inflated prices. Refurbishment can't come soon enough.

Beautiful art déco marvel minutes away from the Douro river. Big rooms, luxury everywhere. Delicious food serving restaurant. Old style hotel catering to those waiting for the extra detail.

This is not a 5 star hotel or a luxury hotel any more, I am sure it was many years ago but it need a renovation really bad. The room I got felt more like a 2 or 3 stars, very old and in really bad shape.
Service was great from breakfast and through the hotel, restaurant is great!
Reception and concierge service is all a one man show who is always busy.
Location couldn't be better, the hotel could be one of the best hotels in town if it got an important renovation.
