We love this place!!! We came on January and are back again here in August! Great, friendly service and amazing food!

As with all of Old San Juan, the architecture of the building called us inside. We had breakfast and it was good. Staff was attentive and friendly.

Horrible food. I felt bad for the waiter since he waited on our table and was the bartender. The breakfast sandwiches were terrible and were poor quality deli meat. It was cheap so thankfully I didn't pay more than $10. On a good note the coffee was good.

Yes, we had 12 people for dinner but believed a 5;30 time would avoid any rush. We were correct, there was absolutely no rush, hurry, or concern that it took 28 minutes between when the first plate was delivered until the last person was served their meal. One bartender and one cook does not equal fast service. Food was enjoyable, but length of service ruined the experience.

Really bummed. Came here for our honeymoon dinner. Service was great but the food was garbage. Dry mofongo ($22) and THE MOST DRY lobster for ($45) which was questionably reheated/scraps. It was served to us as a pile of dried-out/rubbery meat in the opened tail after waiting an absurd amount of time. Also the "shrimp cocktail" ($13) is 5 shrimp drowning in a martini class filled with ketchup. All of that aside, American sports are being played on two large televisions behind you in this "historic restaurant." They bank on their old-school reputation and it's sad that they've lost touch with what made this place special. What we learned is that you're better off getting a burger in PR. Seriously. Save your money.
