Wonderful museum, but very disorderly. If you don't speak Russian, finding your way around is challenging. I found myself wandering the corridors in hoping of finding the next set of rooms that I
But the rooms! The rooms are full of wonderful pictures, mostly 16-18th century Dutch and French paintings.
The visit would be worth it even if only to see the six Rembrandts there.
If you can find them, of course.... :-)

A gem overlooked by many visitors to Moscow. Priam's Treasure (discovered by Schliemann at Troy) by itselfwould make the trip worthwhile by but there is far far more to discover! Not much information on the collection available in English or in Russian but you can certainly get by without it.

A great deal of sculptures (roman ) and painting depicting Christ-relates things and noble or royal families. There's audioguide available in about in languages.

One of the best museum of Moscow. It is possible to enjoy masterpieces of all eras, from Mesopotamia, ancient Greek and Roman empire till modern time.

sculptures in halls mostly imitation. but beautiful original pictures. very nice exhibition.
