Visited 01-08-17. The main exhibition was mostly closed. The visiting Spanish architect exhibition was very good. But the "Ruin" exhibition was the worst we've ever seen. Unfriendly lady sitting on the steps with a laptop said we HAVE to interact with children. After a barrage of unnatural constructed questions ending with one about ... my favorite brand of shoes (!!! I brought my son from abroad to learn about Russian architecture) ... we could not bare this any more but despite paying for the tickets we haven't been allowed to see two more floors! So called modern art is evil, thanks for reminding us again.

Love it. Interesting exhibition every month plus a collection of old wooden models and drawings. Outstanding the ruined pavilion.

Depressive place clearly lacking of funds to desserve to be called a museum. The Kremlin model is of course impressive, but almost everything is written in Russian and the staff is not helpful. You feel like you are entering a models and drawings warehouse. Furthermore, most of the (few) exhibited projects are from other countries, not in Russia. It is thus not the place to go if you want to better understand Russian architecture.
