Incredible! I've been to many, many museums in my lifetime and this is one of the best. Why? The fact that it is comprised of treasures from the royal family means the items have a connection to real people. So the Armour you see, or the dresses, or the carriages actually belonged to a member of the royal family, not an anonymous person who happened to live in a particular era. If you're in Moscow, and you can go, don't miss this place!

I only wish I would have planned a few more hours to really get a good look at this place. Fascinating. Some unbelievable historical items here. The audio tour gives you an hour or so... really takes 2-3 hours at least.

Well worth a visit however be prepared to buy your ticket online a number of days before your visit or face waiting around at Alexander Gardens until your desired time slot is freed up.

This is one of the most impressive collections of armoury in the world. On display include Christian bibles, tabanacacles and challis. Armour and swords and our favourite room with royal thrones and carriages. It was hard to believe such collections exist. The detail in their construction is not found today and they genuinely look like they were taken directly from a Cinderella movie. Truly impressive.
All collections on display include an English translation.

They did not allow photos inside here. But I would estimate if the sold half the jewels, and amazing artifacts here, they could eliminate world hunger. Russia and the Vatican could easily change the world.
