It is a poignant place and worth a visit. When we were there they were doing some work around the monument so hopefully they will fix the benches and other things around the park. The glass chapel is vandalized, unfortunately.

A beautiful park with a large promenade. At the exit of the city. rich in woods and beautiful views. It is suitable for walking, yoga, barbecue, picnic. Scouts meetings are often held here. The park is dedicated to victims of the Second World War and the suffering of innocent civilians. It has a large parking space near the entrance, a tennis court ... Walking dogs is allowed. There are benches for sitting and enjoying in the park. A large amphitheater where festivals are sometimes held. The park is crowded with people when they are public holidays. Then people gather together, barbecue and socialize. Football can be played ... and all other games on a big meadow ....

Definitely a place for a visit, monumental part of WW2 history, great big park, nice place for a group visit, short brake and walk.

Historic monument that could be in beter conditions for sure... According to Wikipedia: "German execution squads established sites in Bubanj forest to which Serbs, Gypsies and Jews were brought by trucks. Mass exterminations were carried out from February 1942 to September 1944,[8] including about 10,000 inmates and detainees killed by the Special Police and local penal authorities. The entire area is intersected by trenches in which the shooting victims were buried. Before the withdrawal of the Germans as the Red Army advanced into Yugoslavia in 1944, captured Italians were ordered to dig up the trenches and burn the corpses of the victims in order to destroy all traces of the atrocities committed there"
