I went on a Monday lunchtime after a recommendation from my hotel reception that this is the place for local Slovenian food. While it wasn't dreadful, it was distinctly average. Welcome was tepid, as was the food. It has a feel of a medieval themed restaurant, and when it's full and rocking, it might be more fun. Based on my visit I wouldn't recommend Sokol.

Food was delicious and filling. Prices reasonable. Atmosphere was homely. Waiters were so patient with us. Definitely recommend.

As I entered I ordered a beer(own brewery) and it arrived shortly after sitting and before the Canadians beer. I ate the waiters recommendation. Pork with plum sauce and three goats cheese whirls. Delicious! Great service.

A lively traditional Slovenian restaurant. Good food, large portions. Lots of seating so you can usually find a table. They have their own micro brewery.

Good service, good selection of traditional Slovenian food. Was nice but not amazing. Still, recommend to go if you haven't had Slovenian food before. I had the venison stew which was really nice but with the bread bowl, the meal was quite heavy
