Typical fast food. Food with a lot bread and not as much horse meat and of course a lot of add-ons.
After all it is a horse meat fast food.

We have been planning to visit this place since weeks and today we tried horseburger. I was quite disappointed.
Meat was really bad with poor quality. Sauces depend on your choice, but only basic stuff.
Basically if you want to eat for cheap and get full, it is your place, otherwise I would not recommend it.

The burgers here are as big as your face! Horse meat is actually quite tasty. Definitely worth a try. They have more sauces than you can throw a chip at - chilli, nacho cheese...etc. Go nuts!

Staff are a bit cranky but the horse burger is still worth a stop by. Conveniently across from Union Brewery. Great food to sober up to!

Hot horse used to be the only place in town that offered halfway decent burgers. If you went for a burger it was almost a given, that you would go to Hot Horse. It was like that for almost 2 decades.
They offer rather large burgers, hot dogs, and plates of meat, most of it being horse meat. Salads and condiments are all optional and they will put as much of it as you want onto your burger. Veggie burgers are also an option, however I think there is no meat substitute, it's just regular horseburger without the meat. They offer canned and bottled drinks, no beer taps. Also, the meat is spiced quite heavily, not hot, but full of other spices.
Lately they are not as popular any more as they used to be. They got some very good competition and they have grown complacent.
I had an incident there recently. I discovered, that they had eggs in their offerings, which was new to me, and I asked for a sunny side up on my burger. There were two workers at the place, and their attitudes were appalling. They refused to put an egg on my burger, citing their rules. I wasted something like 30 minutes convincing them to put an egg on my burger, and they just refused. They said that the cash register wasn't programmed to charge an egg on its own, so it is impossible for them to charge the egg and because of that they wouldn't give it to me. They offered to give me the egg only if I ordered another rather pricy dish, which included an egg. They wouldn't budge even though I offered paying for the egg in as many ways I could think of.
I spent about 30 minutes trying to persuade them to put an egg on my burger, and between the two employees there, neither of them got the idea to make the customer happy. Neither of them thought, "15 cents worth of egg, that is missing from our stock, is a lot smaller problem than an unhappy customer, who will not only not return to us, but will also write negative reviews online". Neither of them figured that one out. I bought my burger without an egg.
Later I sent a complaint email to the company and received an apology with a free burger coupon from their sales manager. She also wrote that an egg would be available as an option to every one of their dishes. I haven't gone back there yet there to verify it.
If you want big spicy burgers with completely optional veggies and condiments, this is the place for you. If you want something more sophisticated, there are better alternatives in town.
