Crooks, they take your deposit without any intention of returning it. I made a formal complaint to the Western Cape Government, economic development and Tourism department and i urge all of you to do the same. Its a shame for Cape Town that this type of people can have an open door to rip off customers

DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THIS COMPANY, UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR MONEY STOLEN.
I have rented a car from them for a single day on December 1st. They required that I pay the full amount by credit card, including the deposit (which was 75% of the total cost). As of the date I write this review, I am yet to receive a penny.
I have sent 50+ emails to numerous people within Global (with 10% response rate), and in the replies, they continued to reassure me that I'm getting my money back. They made silly excuses such as moving to a new system.
Norman (owner of Global), I dare you to call this post a HOAX or BOGUS. I have sufficient evidence to prove you wrong.

I rented a car in december with them and they tried to steal my deposit. I had to warn them with legal action and send 100+ emails to get it back in March
In case these people keep on replying saying they don't know the people who are complaining I can happily provide proof of everything
Please don't rent with them because they will steal your money

I have had many experiences with car rental companies worldwide, however my time in Cape Town was made very special by Global Car Rental. Not only was my meet and greet at the airport so very professional, my entire stay was so well planned by a staff that organised my activities and destinations around Cape Town and the Garden Route so well that no time was lost in trying to locate all the places of interest and great beauty. The rental car was trouble free and I will surely recommend this company to many friends and family. Thank you Norman...
