We visited the Eco Village on a outing with my 5 year old daughter's school. I didn't have enough time to have a look at everything because we got stuck at the coffee shop with their amazing coffee, but we're already planning to go back and to take my son horse riding.

I was mildly surprised by what this place had to offer. The prices are a bit extravagant, especially for the food - that's rustic at best. Charging by the hour for a play area is totally ridiculous, rather charge a nominal fee of say R30 per child, with family rates if you have more than 2 kids.

All the visitors I have spoken to say Oude Molen Eco Village offers amazing tranquility, a refuge and escape from the business of life and the city.
It has tremendous potential, in terms of its location and the social and recreational activities being offered, to connect the city and outlying communities and contribute towards social cohesion and cross cultural interaction.
