Pretty dodgy cheap accommodation. Not particularly clean, and the rooms are very crowded, and noisy.

One of, if not the worst backpackers I've been to. Sketchy locals in the area, hard to find and in one of the worst crime ridden areas of Durban. I did not stay there but I visited a friend who was staying there and it was horrid.

Banana Back packers should be closed down, Its no place to stay with your family. They false advertise on their web site. It seems to be a place where people are now living and when you arrive they just hand their room to YOU. Unmade beds, dirty linen, dirty rooms, floors, broken beds,broken windows not too mention an a joining room with a tenant sleeping in the room. Absolutely Horrific! Carte Blanche should investigate these con -artists.Their website is no where near what the place looks like now! Its a safety hazard and should be closed down! I arrived with my family, lost all my money and was forced to fly home again same day! not too mention the owner ducks and dives when I requested to speak to him, uptill now his avoiding MY calls. Funny thing is, when he recieved my deposit, he was swift in responding. Please stay away - It should be removed from the hostel website .

Da place was dirty,the staff not so helpful and oh please don't get me started on the bathrooms i felt like vomiting. Never again will i waste my money there.!
