Situated in the CBD of George and very well positioned in the busy food and coffee district of Meade street. Offers a good variety of food and a sushi option is also available. Casual athmospher which is good for kids. The experience i had was average as the food was good but the service lacked considerably. Waiters were slow and not attentive to the customer. Hopefully this has changed as they have a good establiahment which can be a big hit in George.

Went on Saturday to watch the SA vs All Blacks game. Enjoyed half price sushi and 2 cocktails for the price of one special. Sushi is delicious and affordable. Kids had fun in the play area while we enjoyed the game. Service was great as well.

Great place for the family. Food and service is always good. Personal looking after the children are very caring.

Texas Grill is more towards your 'affordable family diner' category. The food is good, the sushi among the best in George. Service is on/off. I've been there when there was fantastic service, other times the service was not quite horrible, but not good either. There are a few steps that lead into the restaurant, so not sure if it is wheelchair accessible. There is an indoor playpen for the kids with a staff member keeping an eye over them. The smoking area is outside on the veranda.
Their cocktail selection is limited, but overall drink selection is good. Their is a wide variety of food available, and one or two vegetarian options. The sushi also falls under the vegetarian options for me.
Take note that Alan's Sushi is situated inside Texas Grill, and technically isn't a part of Texas, but operates from within. The sushi is really recommended.
