Knockando Halls of Residence is one of three large male student residences of the University of the Witwatersrand. Housing 420 undergraduates, "Knock" is situated in one of the highest points of the Parktown ridge, overlooking the Johannesburg Zoo. With extensive grounds, including two major sports fields and several courts and a large swimming pool, the students occupy one of the most well-appointed student residence complexes in South Africa.
