I had a terrible experience with this cattery and the owner Sharlene Davey. My family and I had left my 2 cats at this cattery at the beginning of September 2016 as I was moving to UK to study. I received a message on the 22nd of September to say that one of my cats escaped from her cattery on the 20th September, due to a hole in her cage. She was apparently doing maintenance on her cattery cages and there was a hole left once the guy was done. I was not aware that there will be any maintenance done. Sharlene then refused to take any of my calls or respond to any of my messages as she claims I was being rude because I was asking her questions about my cat. She listed many things that she has done to help get my cat back and when I checked up on it none of it had actually been done. The only way the word spread about my cat being missing was because my dad and my mums friend had to drive up to Summerveld and physically speak to people in that area and put up posters. Sharlenes behavior has been absolutely disgusting and her efforts to find my cat has been zilch. My family and I had to fly back down to South Africa inorder to start looking. I would not recommend this cattery to anyone. It looks good on paper but when something happens this owner will not help you find the cat and she will take absolutely no responsibility. Her neighbour's did not even know my cat was missing they only found out when my family went up to look. I live in Durban north and I did thorough research before leaving my cats anywhere as this was the first time they were at a cattery.Please do not leave your pet here!
