My mother who suffers from vascular dementia was admitted early Easter Sunday morning, weak and suffering from a severe chest infection. Doctor saw her straight away and ordered medication before he left. She coughed all day until she received her medication only at 15:45. A nurse on duty told me it's a public holiday so the pharmacy have only a few staff members who come in and sort the medication. Pathetic. I paid R12000 cash 2x in the past 4 days for medical clinic care and their attitude is that it's a public holiday so a patient must just wait. Do all your patients die on public holiday? I must add that the nurses who admitted her and cared for her were very attentive and caring and I thank them for it. I hope this malpractice has caused her to deteriorate further ... we will see this morning.

Well this is a world-class Hospital indeed, all is quality. The problem is that with quality, comes a high price. This is very expensive and the nearest adult public hospital is Madadeni hospital but also try Newcastle public clinic next to the public library first.
