It's the ambience , the personalize attentive yet unabtrusive service availed to you with knowledge of their both food and wines so extensive it could quite easily make a no of 5* sydney rest blush. And yet , Ritrovo, professes to be a "family " Resteraunt . Papa in the kitchen, Forte , may well surprise you with It's the ambience , the personalize attentive yet unabtrusive service availed to you with knowledge of their both food and wines so extensive it could quite easily make a no of 5* sydney rest blush. And yet , Ritrovo, professes to be a "family " Resteraunt . Papa, who does the main the kitchen, will more than likely, come out to your table to ensure that all is well with your meals and Chef Forte may well break out with some opera piece in his resounding voice! The sommeliers however, well , one may as best sit back and accept that they are in for a lesson in all things pertaining to grapes, wine, the area the year each vineyard , you get it :) they REALLY know their stuff !!!
The man and I have been to Ritrovo a number of times now since we have been here . Always with a core person who introduced us to the owner, so perhaps we may be given that extra attention - however in questioning and mentioning to others - the feedback is always consistently positive!
Both dinner and lunch is delightful , different aspects to be drawn from each . I personally prefer the evenings when one can finish up dinner and then continue on upstairs at the sister cigar bar " Priva", which is VERY cool ! Jazz band , booths, great service , smooth smooth smooth is how I best describe it. I wish there were more places like this around everywhere! Deserves way high cudos as well.
It may be noted that I more often than not rarely make mention of what I or others have actually ordered / eaten. This is due in part that generally Forte usually takes it upon himself ( must be the challenge :) ) to undertake the choice of entrees, a selection , taking into account noted preferences , and requests ( and the odd ones - in joke . Nikki /Priscillah!)
I don't believe that it's fair for me as a vegetarian to dissect a menu or restaurant based purely on MY FOOD. I have never been disappointed with my meals , ranging from an eggplant Parmesan of which I was grateful to be advised to order a kids size!! To a mushroom lasagne , a buffalo mozzarella and tomato salad with a truffle soufflé ?? !!! I think I died and found heaven !!! But hey that's me!
I firmly believe that in going out the whole experience is what makes your " meal " worth going out for . Which brings me back to ambience. We have been made to feel like family , and I think we're always the last scragglers to leave .... and yes we'll keep going back for more !!

Amazing atmosphere and vibe. The food served was perfectly cooked and the waiters were friendly and always at hand.
Highly recommended for both date nights as well as big family get togethers.

Had dinner with a bunch of close friends. Great food, Great wine, relaxed atmosphere Our host did a wonderful job. A memorable evening filled with lively chat and laughter.
