Best surgeon in Barcelona. I personaly know Dr. Jimenez for many years. He is a great veterinarian and surgeon with a lot of dedication for his patients. Beside that he is fluent in english and german. Clear 5 Star recomendation.

During my short visit in Barcelona, I found an injured pigeon and didn't know what to do. Luckyli one clinic suggested me Els Altres. I reached Jordi by phone and although it was a Sunday and Jordi was on holidays he came and had a look to the sick bird. I was and still am very grateful for his help. He had a detailed look and took her until we found a sanctuary, where she can stay forever. He also came up with the idea of the pigeon sanctuary, which is a very good place and also organised the transport. I rarely experienced so much kindness and understanding and will definitely go again to his clinic in future!

I had an immediate problem with one of my two conures becoming aggressive towards my partner but only whilst I was away. Jordi (the vet) saw me almost immediately and spent some while trying to assess the dynamics of the situation and also gave a quick medical assessment of the bird in question.
Jordi had to cope (admirably) in English and has an excellent client/patient manner. As the problem was immediate he offered a solution of a wing clip (temporary measure) and as both birds are female an implant each. He took both birds immediately and kept us well informed.
I cannot recommend enough Els Altres. Professional, very friendly and very well priced. Oh yes the ability to operate using English helped a lot. 10/10. I'll definitely use Jordi and his team again.

I have a very nice experience (more than 2 years) with Els Altres team, whom I consult regarding my rabbits' health. The team specializes in a large variety of animals. The staff is very nice, friendly and cooperative. Moreover, Dr. Jordi @ Els Altres speaks really good English, which is a huge bonus for expats looking for vets in Barcelona. From my experience, I highly recommend their pet care service and also the surgical and other services offered on the clinic!
P.S. Esteve, the Macaw, is very entertaining :)
