Found the restaurant based on Expedia and Google reviews. Great place to visit. Beautifully cooked food. We both had the pork but done differently and it was so tasty. My only negative criticism is there was a staff member/ manager guy trying to bring in customers from the street. I noticed he was very rude to a couple who were already eating. She wanted to speak to a manager to compliment the restaurant and he just turned away and said no I'm not manager. But it was how he did it. Other than that it was a lovely experience. 4 stars with better customer awareness.

El Pescador was a disappointment after reading the good reviews.
We were lured in with promises of fresh local fish which turned out to be just a very small collection; the gilthead for example, which you find almost everywhere, was not on the menu.
Waiting times were terrible. We had to sit for probably 15 minutes before even asked what we would like for drink.
Food was mediocre with a very small portion size. Since El Pescador has the appearance of a high class restaurant, we went with more fancy dishes and were greatly disappointed. People around us were ordering escalope and burgers with fries; maybe that's a better alternative.
Though, in my opinion the better alternative is just choosing a different restaurant.

The food was nice, was promised fresh fish in my paella but i think it was frozen judging by its tenderness,it was still nice though. We got charged for bread that we didnt ask for but all in all it was good and pleasant

Wonderful staff, very good service and fresh seafood food available. One of the best restaurants in the are. Defenetly comming back.

Had a fantastic meal in this restaurant.
We couldn't fault anything about our experience, the food was as good as we have ever had, portions more than ample; we have eaten at many places over the years.
The staff were helpful and friendly, not pushy in the slightest.
It's not the cheapest restaurant in Puerto de la Cruz but you get what you pay for which in this case was quality.
