The firm has several restarants in Puerto de la cruz. We have visited several if this. The menu is particly the same, but the atmosphere is different. At Avendia the service is slow. When we were there several couple who left because they have to wait too long. The food was ok, but no high level.
If you are in Puerto de la cruz we recomend the same company at Plaza Cargo. The atmosphere and service is total different.

The service was fine, but the food was another story... Gluten free pizza super dry, can see and taste that the bread is bought in supermarket. Black rissoto was over salted, if you eat all dish, can drink 10l of water to recover.

This is the first time we have visited Puerto de la Cruz and we found this restaurant on our first night. My partner had the steak and I had a pasta and sauce. The food was delicious, cooked to perfection with lots of flavour and the service was lovely. We have since searched the town for other restaurants in the evening and tried several different places and the service wasn't as great and food was mediocre compared to Compostelana Avenida. We have noticed there are other Compostelana restaurants past the harbour (to your left if you are facing the sea) and we are extremely interested in visiting those before we go home. We don't have children but there were a few families around us with kids and the waiters were more than helpful to accomodate their needs and were fun with the children. There's not a lot of restaurants around Puerto de la Cruz were you will enjoy your meal and have excellent service all in one. We have eaten here three times in 6 days and we have tried the pizzas, pastas and the specialities between us. Very enjoyable. Must visit.

Was really disappointed having read reviews. My husband had a steak which he thoroughly enjoyed.....after having to ask for it to be cooked medium rare , and not the rare that was first served. He also had to remind the staff of his peppercorn sauce order. I
observed a member of staff at the pass ( window) taste the first sauce intended for him, and put the spoon back in the sauce. Thankfully this was sent back to the kitchen and he received a fresh (I hope!!). However, the end result was very good.
I ordered the sole stuffed with prawn and served with clams and mussels. The whole meal was barely warm and the clams were tiny. The sole and prawns were not that tasty. I was very disappointed.
Lastly, the service was not great. At no point did anyone check the meal was ok. This is a minimum expectation in a restaurant of a decent calibre, and particularly when there have been issues with the order.
We won't be back.

Very poor standard. Starters were bland and lacked any justification for the price they were set at. The mains were the same, we had lasagne and veal. The lasagne had no pasta or sauce. Just meat and cheese (which was burnt) and it was extremely bland, the veal was chewy and undercooked. It also came with chips and a salad, both of which must have been laying there for some time as the chips were soggy and cold and the salad was withered. The servers also lacked any real attention to detail, they were more bothered with talking amongst themselves than looking after the issues at hand. Complaints felt on deaf ears and I would avoid at all costs. McDonald's just down the road would be a much better choice.
