Best place to admire the beauty of the building. Timing is the best part of this temple. Where any poojai or programme will start and end at the exact time.

Amazing temple. Haven't seen anything like this in the rest of Sri Lanka! Men need to take off shirts. Shoes and hats are not allowed. Can't take picture inside. No entrance fee.

As I'm not a Hindu person, I don't know about it's sacred quality.. but I can be promised that you can make your mind calm and relaxed.. many beautiful paintings are there to enjoy.. male people should remove their shirts..a very beautiful religious place

I'm not Hindu but this place has a calm peaceful atmosphere in its every inch. To cleanse your mind of worries and trouble just go for a walk or sit down( or sleep like a child) in the sandy outer lawn. Inside, the architecture is amazing but take no photos or go in with a shirt the enforcers are very strict and don't expect them to be polite ( Tamil is not spoken politely like English or Sinhalese )
Must visit in August for festivals-the colours will amaze you and the traditions will mesmerize you.

Nice and peaceful place to visit when you are in Jaffna.
If you are male you have to remove your shirt prior entering the main shine area.
Durinh festive season in August the entire area in and around temple is very crowded.
