didn't really appriciate the visit, wasnt informed that the outside part was closed (closed til sommer 2018), the inside exhibition was only in swedish language, and therfor frustrating the visit because none av the information was clear. Had great expactations but i will not recommend this place to anyone

Amazing museum with the same idea as Skansen but here the staff make you feel like it was a travel in the time.
The 1975 family house and the forest workers from 1942 were most than perfekt!
I strongly reccomend!

Amazing museum. It has a part inside with an audio guide where you can learn about the history and nature of the area. The most spectacular part is a set of viking wall carpets. It is presented in a very dramatic and exciting way. E.g. when I entered a small cinema and pressed a button, the lights went out, the doors closed and an introductory film played. There is also the part outside with houses, villages and areas from different time periods. If you visit in summer, there are many actors that pretend to be people from those times which is really cool.
