In this hospital I had the worst healthcare experience of my whole life. I'm so shocked and I felt so powerless in what happened that I will never use public care in Sweden again for something serious.

My wife had a problem with a vertebra in her lower back, and it was so painful that she had trouble walking and moving. We waited for weeks to see if it was going away, but instead it got worse.
One night she lost consciousness and felt on the floor, hitting her head and breaking a tooth.
We tried to call the ambulance but they told us to wait for the next morning and go to this hospital. Even that was just unreal. We didn't sleep at all that night.

We paid around 3000 SEK for admission (because she had no personal number yet) and after 2 hours of waiting they sent a nurse to visit her.
No x-ray, no RMI, no doctor. She said to just go back home and rest, without trying to understand what happened the night before. My wife started crying, begging to have a doctor check her back, but nothing changed, we had to go home.

After that went to a private clinic where they actually checked her lower back with an RMI and gave her proper care.

I would give 0 out 5 but I can't.

Had to wait in the emergence hall for 20 hours after my mother shattered her shoulder. From 10:00 to 7:00 there was no doctors. My mom broke her shoulder at 9:00 pm and when we got to the emergence room there was a doctor slouching on my mom's bed causing lots of pain. The staff was very mean. My mother also hit her head very hard and none of the nurses checked for concussions.
I stood in between the bed my mom was in and the people running by through the halls because people kept running into my mom and caused lots of pain. The worst was when someone was running with an unstable patient and one of the people actually picked my up and threw me into my mama's bed which made her scream. There was plenty of room. After 20 hours awake in the emergence room they finally gave us a room in the orthopedic department. The doctor that did my mom's surgery and most of the nurses in that department were really nice and the rest of the time was ok in the room but my mom was still in lots of pain. She needed 12 screws in her shoulder and will always have them. Many people say that a shattered shoulder is the most painful thing you can go through. One nurse was really mean to my mom because we were from America.

Stay far away if possible. Ten hour wait at emergency, and still no sign of a doctor. No information, no check-ups from staff. I understand that it is busy and that there are more urgent cases, but when nurses are discussing their music taste across the corridor, you would think they could take some time to check on patients as well. The Swedish health care system is not functioning well, and this hospital is one of the clearest symptoms of that.

Went there for an emergency, after 5 hours seating in the waiting room I asked the nurse very politely to give me an estimate about how long I should wait more! She said, maybe 3 hours maybe 8 hours which means 13 hours in total!!!! The other one said that I am not even sick and should go home, without even checking my blood pressure or any other symptoms! Very rude and unprofessional!
