This was such a pleasant surprise! One of the most fascinating museums/art exhibitions I have ever been to.

The museum itself is nice and has interesting exibitions. The outdoors part has a great view and is a nice place to go when it's sunny ans warm. The restaurant in this museum has tasty food, a nice environment but is really expensive with dishes costing around 200 kr. They also sell fresh meet and fish.

Millesgarden is the former home of art collector Carl Milles and his wife. It features a lovely collection of artwork including an outdoor sculpture garden and a rotating gallery inside the collectors previous home. The garden has great views of Stockholm by the water and while small, has plenty to see. The house's exterior was being repaired when I was there, but guests are still able to access the house and explore the collection inside, including a small portion that was not permanent to Millesgarden. While I was there alone, I thought this would be a lovely place to take a date, if they are a fan of different types of art. There is also a restaurant available, though I can't comment on it as I did not eat there, however it looked nice based on what I could see. I quite enjoyed my afternoon there exploring the grounds.

Interesting place; expect a quiet half day in a nice garden surrounding the villa that was the residence of artists Carl and Olga Milles while they lived in Sweden. Even if you have never heard of them (I hadn't) the museum is worth a visit if you can spare at least half a day because it is quite a distance away from downtown Stockholm. The museum features their work as well their private collection of Roman sculptures. The place was undergoing massive renovation that spoil the experience a bit; hopefully the results will be for the better because the garden carried a slight air of neglect.

Peaceful oasis with lots of items of interest. We cycled out to Millesgarden from the city centre. There's a good cycle path all the way there. The current exhibition was really interesting plus the permanent museum pieces, all had good information boards in Swedish and English. The cafe is excellent too.
