I did not have a good experience with this vet. My cat got sick on Sunday, vomiting and not drinking or eating. I took my cat to this vet first thing on Monday morning. He didn't ask me for any medical history, nothing. Cat was dehydrated, so he gave him fluids. While he was giving him fluids I started on my own talking about my cat's previous illnesses. My cat had kidney stones three years ago and he was acting the same way, so I thought it might have happened again. I am not sure if it is due to the fact we were communicating in English, but the vet immediately assumed his kidneys were failing. Kidney stones and failing kidneys are two very different things! But he heard the word kidney... He took his blood and sent us home. I spent the rest of the day crying and searching online for what else could it be. I also found out that there is a Tierspital in Zurich. Still I wanted to give this vet a benefit of the doubt and went back to him the following day. He first connected my cat to the fluids, then gave him some antibiotics (before he got the blood tests, even though he didn't want to give him any antibiotics the day before). When he got the blood results he showed me the paper - he only tested two things and both were abnormally high. His conclusion was that this is a very sick cat but he isn't in any pain. I asked about treatment and he told me to come back tomorrow for additional fluids. This was IT for me, I called the Tierspital and took my cat to them. As it turns out my cat has failing kidneys and a heart problem. Heart problem was being made worse with the increase in fluids. He is very unstable now and will probably not survive the night. I wish I had gone to the Tierspital immediately instead of wasting a day and half with this vet.
