Instead of complaining one should ask how to support this very important institution. I am happy that my colleagues at ZHAW were so kind and generous and we managed to collect some financial support. I hope this inspire others to do the same.

Depressing atmosphere, perhaps because of the financial difficulties that result from the removal of municipal support. Also probably because it looks and feels both neglected and detached from any context of zoo etc. And perhaps because the birds are injured etc. I guess it's an important institution, but I don't think it's a charming spot. Even a bit disturbing to the park.

A tiny place but definitely worth the visit. Has lots of exotic birds that are seen without getting inside, so you can watch some of the birds for free. Great for any nature lover.
