Bed bugs!! I was here from 9/20-9/24. Got almost 30 bites first night on both my arms and both my legs. I thought it was just food allergy so I paid no attention to it. The 3rd night I got more bites and older bites started to swell. A search on google confirmed that the pattern and shape of bites are from bed bugs. I complained to the front desk the 4th day and got them to find me a room elsewhere in the city. The front desk was "sympathetic". The hotel offered me a bag of candies but did not give me any credit on my stay. I will never come here again.

The Nikko Taipei is a wonderful hotel. I was sent to Taiwan for some last minute business, during that time I had sustained a sports injury. The hotel went far beyond my expectations as everyone was so helpful and wonderful. The rooms were spotless and spacious as well as the facilities. The restaurants were all excellent with the highest quality of food. The only "slight" setback was the TV with only 2 English news services. For a international hotel of such quality I would have liked to see VOD or better digital TV since I was injured and spent most of my time in the room. Other then that fabulous I will be returning.

This is a Japanese-style hotel (eg, bathroom) in Taipei. The rooms are nice and clean. The location is also good. The staff is fluent in Japanese and English.
