The three buildings here, the remnants of a huge industrial facility that once processed camphor and opium, stand out for their unique architecture. They are remarkably well-preserved, thanks to efforts to convert historically significant buildings into a space for the arts.
The museum is housed on the red brick building by the entrance and showcases the lucrative camphor and opium business. The museum also has a dedicated art space for children, but all exhibits are in Chinese only. The admission fee is 20 NT (less than 1.00 USD). Allot at least an hour when visiting.

This place has a fascinating history. Think of it as the 20th Century equivalent of an OxyContin dispensary. Great place to just hang out and chill.
