A beautiful Maha Mariamman Temple (Hindu Temple) in Silom. The priests are from South India. Love the elaborate flower garlands sold opposite the temple.

The first temple where it is forbidden to take a photo. Is this Hindu religion?
It's not allowed to take the shoes into the temple. That's not surprising. In Buddhist temple in Thailand you have to take off your shoes. But when I wanted to put them into my the rucksack the lady didn't let me go inside.
I didn't feel very welcome. Inside the temple a little bit commercial. Fruits are sold for the ceremony.

If you're a Westerner and really want to feel as if you've stepped into another world, come here. A Hindu temple with chanting priests, incense and scented candles galore. No photos, and remember to take off your shoes.

Smaller than I thought but it's exactly colorful and nice. You have to find some other places around here if you take someone to there. FYI a hamburger restaurant named 25 degrees is close to here and amazing.
