On our last weekend in Bangkok, we took our children ages 6 and 7 to Arete on Friday for the open mat session. They had a camp going but no problem, the owner Andrew said to wait a few minutes and my kids could roll with each other. My kids have been practicing bjj for a little over a year and as there were no other white belts that day, I thought they would just roll with each other.
This place had the best mats I had seen in thailand much like the ones here in California that my kids practice on. Even before the camp session was over, a brown belt (Asian American from the Bay Area, sorry didn't get his name because I was busy prodding my shy kids to introduce themselves) came over introduced himself and rolled with them. He even corrected my kids technique.
Later when the open mat session began, a woman named Rita came over and did the same for my kids. I really liked this place. It had a very welcoming atmosphere and my only regret was not being able to bring them to the scheduled kids class the next day because my in laws had already planned something.
The next time I visit Thailand, I'm definitely going to bring my kids here for some actual classes. The school seems really well run and the adults I saw were really training hard.

A wonderful and friendly place to train jiu jitsu for all levels in Bangkok. Great atmosphere, technical instruction, flexible schedule and lots of rolling!
