Since we just had 2-3 days in Bangkok and know the tourist attraction so crowded, we decided again to have a private tour. Air, the co owner of BKK was with us. The mayor should do something to maintain the river. It is dirtier compared with years ago when I visited Bangkok. But we all have fun together exploring Bangkok. If you travel with big tourist buses, you can have the feeling from the photos I post.

We took the tour of Bangkok by minivan and our guide Diamond was excellent taking care of our every need. We visited the 2 temples, the flower market, had a long boat trip and drove through Chinatown as it was too crowded to stop. A great experience. Thank you to our driver as well for his very comfortable air conditioned van.

We booked the Bangkok highlights by local transport tour and loved it! Michai was an excellent guide. We saw a lot of interesting things, including the Wat Pho temple with the reclining buddha and the grand palace. But we also saw some hidden gems such as in Chinatown. Our guide was very knowledgable about the history of Bangkok and was a pleasure to talk with, he made the tour fun. Very happy we booked with BKK tours!

Skip the cruise tour - book with these folks instead! We booked months in advance with Michiel in the office, no deposit needed. His email communication, his helpfulness, and then the guiding on the day was five stars!
In 2015, we were with that tour guide, Air, at the Grand Palace (and just one other couple) when we saw our fellow Cruiselings go by in a herd. I felt sooooo good! I cannot recommend BKK Tours highly enough. Air is a relaxed and charming guide, full of smiles, information and thoughtful details. The heat and humidity was awful but every time we got back in the fabulous luxury 'Bollywood' air-conditioned van, we were offered cold water and cooling facecloths; a god-send!
Not only that, but the day was planned so well. The Palace and Reclining Buddha, the amazing flower market, terrific lunch, and an unforgettable longboat ride.
Do yourself a favour, skip the expensive cruise ship tour and book with BKK Tours for an authentic experience. The port is a long way from town and being treated like royalty and pampered in BKK's fabulous vehicles on the drive is so worth it!
