The waitress or the cashier were not concerned about customer service at all. The cost of the food does not match its quality. You're better off buying Chinese from a random restaurant on the main road.

Had lunch there after many years and it was the most awful experience. The waitress took long to take the order. ALL the food was cold which suggests that they were not freshly prepared. I had to ask the waitress if we could order drinks to accompany our food since she never asked. When a request was made for pepper she took the pepper from another table and placed it on our table with the same utensil. God forbid that the persons who ate there before coughed over it or put the utensil in their mouth. Absolutely disgusting!!!!

To begin, I'd like to say that this has been one of our favorite places to eat for years. Yesterday, we decided to have dinner there not having gone for a long time and sadly the experience was a disappointing one and we will NOT be returning. The quality of the meal and the meal portions have drastically declined, both in taste and size and it seems as if they have changed cooks. Our waitress took 20 minutes to take our order, as she kept leaving while we were in the process of ordering, to attend to other tables. Sadly, her " friendly face" only showed up when it was time to pay the bill and we were advised on how best to tip her..."card or cash eh!" The roast pork was wet and soggy, loaded with more cornstarch than a head of corn and the pepper beef was swimming in a pond of brown gravy, that could have been used as kite glue. Driving from Arima to here, I guarantee you, we would rather patronize one of the 1000 mom & pop Chinese restaurants along the way instead. Nie Weider !!! Never Again....

Ive been going here since childhood but over the past year the food quality is degenerating and never consistent.

Really BAD service but OK food.
Went for a take away meal and was subjected to bad attitudes and horrible customer service along with unhygienic practices.
Firstly the cashier took her time before attending to us, the only customers in the restaurant at the time and answered our questions like we were bothering her. (The questions were what are your specials and how much are they). Then she gave me incorrect change when I paid for my food and preceeded to have a nasty attitude when I asked for my correct change. Regardless of how much money it was, it was still my money.
I also saw one of the servers lick her fingers after handling some desserts then proceeded to handle ice, clean glasses and pineapple all without washing her hands. There are way to many restaurants in Trinidad to be subjected to and pay for bad service just for ok food. Valpark Chinese Restaurant will not get my endorsement as a good restaurant nor will they get any more of my money.
