One of the city's tourist attractions, what you should know before visit it:
- It is included in Museum Pass, but under de name Galata Monastery (No turkish know it by this name).
- Monday is closed.
- It's the first Mawlawi House, temple for Islamic Sufi believer.
- No pictures inside the museum.
- If you don't have the Museum Pass, maybe it is not worth the 10 liras ticket.
- The museum has two floors dedicated to Mevlevi Sufi Islam sect, and offers an insight into culture, music and traditions of the Mawlaw
- The sorrounding area is really nice and picturesque.

This place is fascinated, if you are interested in Islamic mysticism, I recommend very strongly to visit there.

One of the most important place for Mevlevi's(Rumi's follower sufi's) and museum is good for learning on this philosophy ,their life and history

It is small and you need about 45 minutes up to two hours to see the exhibit.
The sama dance schedule is on their website so if you like to come here for the dance check their website.
